FAQ
Do I need to fill in an arrival card for Korea?
Yes, if you enter visa-free without a K-ETA (the temporary K-ETA exemption runs until 2026-12-31) or on a visa. No, if you hold an approved K-ETA and are not entering on a visa, or if you have a Korean residence card.
When can I submit the e-Arrival Card?
From 3 days before your arrival (Korea time) until you go through immigration โ you can also do it on your phone after landing. A submission is valid for 72 hours.
How much does the e-Arrival Card cost?
Nothing โ it is free on the official site, www.e-arrivalcard.go.kr. A site that asks for a fee is not the Ministry of Justice site.
Can I fill it in for my family?
Yes. One person can submit for a group: up to 1,000 people on a computer, or 9 on a phone.
I have a K-ETA. Do I still need the arrival card?
No โ K-ETA holders are exempt, unless they are entering Korea on a visa.
Can I still use the paper arrival card?
The Ministry of Justice said in 2025 that paper cards could be used until December 2025. We could not find an official notice on paper cards after that, so plan to submit online.
