FAQ
Which Seoul station do trains leave from?
KTX to the south-east (Busan, Daegu, Gyeongju, Ulsan, Pohang) mostly leaves from Seoul Station; SRT uses Suseo in the south-east of the city; the south-west line (Gwangju, Mokpo, Jeonju, Yeosu) uses Yongsan and Seoul Station; Gangneung and Andong use Cheongnyangni and Seoul Station. Each city page lists the exact station per departure.
How far ahead should I book?
KTX and SRT seats can be booked one month ahead on letskorail.com / etk.srail.kr and in the KORAIL Talk and SRT apps with an overseas card. Friday evening, Sunday and holiday trains sell out; weekday daytime trains rarely do.
Is the return timetable included?
Yes — every city page has a second table with the trains from that city back to Seoul for the same day, so you can plan a day trip from one page.
Where does this come from?
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport TAGO train service (Korail and SRT schedules and adult base fares), rebuilt every morning; if today’s schedule is not yet published, the page shows the next day and says so.
