KoreanKorea is an English-language guide to Korea for readers abroad. We cover four things: food (what is trending in Korea right now, plus recipes you can cook at home), travel (festivals, seasonal events, and practical tips on transport, payments and apps), dramas and movies (release dates, where to watch by region, cast and context), and cosmetics (K-beauty launches, routines, ingredients and where to buy from overseas).
How we write
Every post starts from official announcements and public sources — company releases, government notices, broadcaster schedules, and the Korean press. Facts are cross-checked before they go in; when something cannot be confirmed, we leave it out and say so rather than guess. Dates, prices and availability are stated as of publication, so please check the official source before you book, buy or travel.
Before an article goes out, an automated review checks it against the sources it was built from; articles that fail that check are held back instead of being published. A person oversees the site and fixes anything that is reported. Figures and charts are drawn from the same verified facts. Photos come from open-licence sources such as the Korea Tourism Organization, Visit Jeju, Wikimedia Commons and Openverse, and each one is credited with its licence. Where no suitable photo exists, an illustration is generated and labelled as such.
Independence
KoreanKorea is run by an independent editor in Korea. We do not accept payment for coverage. If a post is sponsored, it says so at the top of the article. Affiliate links (Klook, Trip.com) are labelled where they appear — every booking box and widget carries an “Affiliate” note — and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Pages for people in trouble (pharmacies, subway delays, air quality, lost items) carry no affiliate boxes.
