  2. Choose Foreigner and buy a pass with a credit card.
  3. Find a dock with bikes on the app map.
  4. Scan the QR code on the bike to unlock it; return it to any dock.

FAQ

How much is a Seoul city bike?

A 1-hour pass is ₩1,000 and a 2-hour pass ₩2,000. 7-day passes were ₩3,000 (1 hour a day) and ₩4,000 (2 hours a day) as of March 2025. A 3-hour pass was added in November 2025 — see the app for its price. Going over your time costs extra (the city page lists ₩200 per 5 minutes).

Can tourists rent Ttareungyi?

Yes. Download the Ttareungyi (Seoul Bike) app, choose "Foreigner", buy a pass with a credit card, find a dock on the map and scan the QR code on the bike. The app and website are in Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese.
