How this board works

Every Tuesday Netflix publishes its Top 10 for the previous week (Monday to Sunday): global lists with views (hours watched ÷ runtime) and hours, and a ranked list for each country. We take the global non-English TV and film lists for the last 8 weeks, keep the Korean titles and add up their weekly views; South Korea’s own list (ranks only) shows what viewers in Korea are watching. A title is treated as Korean when Wikidata gives South Korea as its country of origin, or when its English Wikipedia article says it is South Korean. Netflix numbers only — other streaming services and Korean TV ratings are not included. Source: Netflix Top 10.

How this page works

From Netflix’s own weekly Top 10 (published every Tuesday): the global non-English TV and film lists, with views (hours watched divided by runtime), and South Korea’s country list. Korean titles are those Wikidata lists with South Korea as country of origin, or whose English Wikipedia article says they are South Korean; their weekly views are added up over the last eight weeks. Other streaming services and TV ratings are not included. The page is rebuilt twice a day (around 09:15 and 21:15 Korea time) and republished only when the numbers change.

FAQ

What is the most popular K-drama on Netflix right now?

Over the last 8 weeks, The Perfect Lie (라이어) drew the most views of any Korean title on Netflix’s global non-English charts: 15,000,000, counted to the week ending Oct 4.

What are people in Korea watching on Netflix?

South Korea’s Netflix Top 10 TV list for the week ending Oct 4 is led by Kian’s Bizarre B&B (No.1), Marriage of Convenience (No.2), The Scandal (No.3). The full list is on this page; Korean titles are marked K.

How is this ranking made?

From Netflix’s own Top 10 data, published every Tuesday: the global non-English TV and film lists (with views — hours watched divided by runtime) and South Korea’s country list (ranks only). We add up each Korean title’s weekly views over the last eight weeks. Nothing is estimated by us.

How do you know a title is Korean?

From Wikidata (country of origin: South Korea) or, if Wikidata does not know the Netflix title, an English Wikipedia article whose first sentence calls it South Korean. Brand-new shows without either are left unmarked until those pages appear.

Why is my favourite K-drama missing?

This board only sees Netflix. Dramas that stream on other services (Disney+, Prime Video, Viki, TVING, Coupang Play, Wavve) or only air on Korean TV channels are not in Netflix’s data.
