How do I get to Jeju?
By air from Gimpo, Incheon and every other Korean airport to Jeju International Airport, or by ferry from Mokpo, Wando and Busan. Flights from Seoul take about 70 minutes.
Do I need a car on Jeju?
The island is about 73 km across and the sights are spread around the coast road, so most visitors rent a car. Buses reach the main sights but take much longer.
Which side of the island should I stay on?
Jeju-si in the north is next to the airport and has the most restaurants and hotels. Seogwipo in the south is closer to the waterfalls, Seongsan Ilchulbong and the resort area.
When is the best time to visit?
Spring and autumn are mildest. Summer is hot, humid and the typhoon season runs into September. Winter is windy but camellias bloom and Hallasan gets snow.
