FAQ
How is the ranking decided?
By readers, not by us: each announcement is ranked by its average views per day on Seoul City’s English website over the last week (views per day since posting if it is newer than a week). We read the view count shown on each official page twice a day. Only announcements that matter to visitors and are not over yet are ranked.
Where does this information come from?
From the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s English press releases (english.seoul.go.kr, City News). The city releases them under the Korea Open Government License Type 1, which allows reuse with the source credited. Every item links to the original.
Are these all of Seoul City’s announcements?
No. Only the ones that matter to a visitor — events, free programs, opening hours, transport changes and new places. Policy, housing, welfare and investment news is left out.
How often is this page updated?
Every morning and evening. New press releases are read the same day; events disappear after their last day.
Can I rely on the dates and prices?
They are copied from the city’s release and checked against its text, but plans change. Open the original announcement (linked under each item) or the event’s own page before you go.
