Goobne launched the Seoul Mom Pa-gireum Tteokbokki Chicken on Sept 14, 2026, a collab with chef Woo Jung-wook (‘Super Pan’ of Seoul Mom), per a Sept 14 Etoday report.
If you are outside Korea and following Korean chicken releases, this is the one where a famous tteokbokki dish turns into an oven-roasted chicken.
This post covers what it is, how the sauce is built, what you get per order, where to buy it, and how long it stays on the menu.

What is Goobne pa-gireum tteokbokki chicken?
The maker of record is GN Foods, the company behind Goobne.
The name comes from pa-gireum tteokbokki, a Seoul-style tteokbokki that fries rice cakes in scallion oil instead of simmering them in gochujang sauce.
The chicken version keeps the same flavor idea but changes the format to oven chicken, which is Goobne’s house style.
It differs from a regular gochujang chicken in two ways: no gochujang in the sauce, and rice tteok worked into the menu composition.
So if you search ‘does it use gochujang’ — the answer per the same Etoday reporting is no.
Pa-gireum (scallion oil) means the green onion aroma is the defining note here.
If you know tteokbokki only as the sweet-spicy red kind, this is the other branch of the dish, and the chicken follows that other branch rather than the red one.
| Launch | Sept 14, 2026 |
|---|---|
| On sale until | Dec 9, 2026 |
| Where to buy | Coupang Eats, Goobne app, Goobne stores |
| Gochujang in the sauce | None — chili powder, garlic, sesame, scallion |
| Piece configuration (reported) | 1 bone piece + 2 wing/bong pieces |
The sauce: no gochujang, then what
The sauce uses no gochujang — it is chili powder, garlic, and sesame stir-fried together, finished with scallion (daepa) aroma, per the same Etoday reporting.
That makes it closer to a dry, stir-fried chili oil flavor than the glossy sweet-red sauce of standard tteokbokki chicken.
The rice cakes in the menu use a rice tteok composition rather than wheat-based tteok.
Rice tteok stays firmer and less chewy-sticky than the wheat kind, which changes how the piece sits next to the chicken.
If you avoid gochujang for taste reasons, this menu is built for that; if you want the classic gochujang chicken, this is not it.

What you get per order: bone and wing pieces
One reported configuration is 1 bone piece plus 2 wing/bong pieces.
‘Bong’ refers to the drumette-style wing piece common on Korean chicken menus.
The Sept 14 Etoday new-product roundup confirms both the launch background and this piece configuration.
Whether you can order bone-only, wing-only, or a half-and-half split has not been confirmed — check the options screen on Coupang Eats or the Goobne app before checkout.
If you want to share one order between two people, the reported 3-piece split is small; two orders cover it better.

Where to buy it and until when
The menu is on sale until Dec 9, 2026 via Coupang Eats, the Goobne app, and Goobne stores.
That gives 86 days from the Sept 14 launch to the end date.
Here is the order path for each channel:
- Coupang Eats — search the menu name in the app and check your delivery area.
- Goobne app — order for delivery or pickup under the new-product menu.
- Goobne stores — walk-in or phone order at the counter.
Whether every Goobne branch stocks it, and whether app, Coupang Eats, and store prices match, is unconfirmed — compare the price on your chosen channel before ordering.
The first thing to check is which of the three channels covers your address and when it cuts off, because those two facts decide everything else.
If you want this one, order well before December — the 86 days look long, but demand around a menu like this tends to concentrate near the cutoff.

12,900-won range only, and no primary Goobne page has confirmed it
Press reporting puts the price in the 12,900-won range.
This is a secondary press figure, not a price listed on a Goobne or GN Foods page, so treat it as a range rather than a price tag.
At that range, ordering eight times over the remaining sale period comes to 12,900 won × 8 orders = about ₩103,200.
Use that arithmetic only as a budget sketch — the exact point inside the range is not confirmed from a primary Goobne page.
Before you order, read the price shown on the channel you are actually using, since per-channel price differences have not been confirmed.

Goobne Playtown Hongdae popup and the end of sales
A ‘Goobne Playtown’ popup in Hongdae has been planned around the Dec 9 end of sales, timed to the second-semester opening-party period.
The plan ties the popup to the same cutoff as the menu itself.
No popup dates, hours, or location details have been published beyond that plan, so do not build a trip around it yet.
When the dates go up, they will be the thing to check alongside the Dec 9 sales cutoff.
If you are in Seoul near the end of the sales period, the popup could be the last in-person chance — but only if dates are confirmed by then.
If it were me, I’d order well before December 9 rather than waiting for the popup, because the sales end date is the only thing confirmed so far.
